The "Toc"
The “ Toc” is the name of one of the most ancient specialities of Bellagio. It is so called because you eat it with the hands, you touch it. How you can prepare it: the “polenta” is cooked in a pot and then with a wooden stick butter and cheese are mixed in. The ingredients are: corn meal, butter and cheese.

How you can eat it: with a wooden spoon the “Toc” is taken straight from the pot and brought to the mouth with the hands. With what you can accompany it: “Missultit”, boiled chicken stuffed or local salami, accompanied by a red wine, drunk from a common jug.

You can close with the “Miascia”, a cake made with corn meal, raisins, dried fruit, apples and pears, or with the “Pan Meìn”, made with white flour and corn meal, eggs, butter, milk and elder flowers (“meìn”) or finally with the “Paradèl”, fritters made with white flour, milk and sugar freid in oil. As digestive ”is recommended the “Ragèl, red wine warmed up in the pot emptied from the “Toc”, to which you can add cloves, fruit pieces and sugar. Very hot is digestive.
